The excellent results of this test for the CFB setup (SCIFI embedded in iron ore) confirm the expected good performance,allowing the use of this calorimeter for future massive neutrino experiments Recently the calorimeter units in the CFP arrangment (SCIFI planes and iron planes) have been adapted to the ICANOE context so that by magnetization of the iron layers and introduction of muon tracking planes magnetic analysis of muons is possible preserving the calorimetric performances.
The agreement between test beam and simulated data confirms the reliability of the MonteCarlo simulation and makes us confident of the performance of the ICANOE calorimeter.
