A study of the timing capabilities of the prototype has been performed by selecting single muons crossing the calorimeter.
The figure shows the distribution of the time difference between the signals coming from the trigger scintillator S₁ and a calorimetric cell.
 
 

Even if data have not been corrected for time walk effects, the time resolution comes out to be of the order of 1 ns.
