Analog Board for HEAT telescopes
The analog board for the HEAT telescopes was redesigned to match the new FLT board with 20 MHz sampling.
Design has been finalized and four prototype boards with two different bandwidth
(3 and 6 MHz) will be available within the first week of February to test the performances of the whole
readout chain.
A test board has been developed;
it allows to set the gains of real and virtual channels,
and to feed input signals to pattern of channels. Four pattern sequences can
be defined. The duration of each pattern can also be set.
The test board will be used to perform basic electronics characterization:
linearity, bandwidth, cross talk and pattern functionality. Thermal stability tests and
gain calibration will also be performed.
First laboratory test of the Analog Boards are foreseen to take place
by the end of February.
Our goal is to plan an integration test with the FLT in Karlsruhe
at the beginning of March.
Production of 80 Analog Boards is presently foreseen.
